- Posterity Health recently launched Project AIM (Access to care-Inclusion of the Male partner), a nationwide initiative that provides men with at-home testing and access to male fertility specialists.

Through Project AIM, patients can use an at-home semen collection kit or schedule a semen analysis at a convenient RMA of New York andrology lab. Men will also have the opportunity to review the results and proceed with a fast-track male fertility consultation.

Posterity Health built the program on the Posterity Health Male Fertility Management Platform, which leverages telehealth and at-home testing to facilitate the simultaneous evaluation of “both partners” when a couple is trying to conceive or experiencing trouble doing so.

“Our goal is to work with RMA of New York to change the patient experience and promote the simultaneous evaluation of both partners,” Pam Pure, co-founder and CEO of Posterity Health, said in the announcement.

“We want to increase access to expert male fertility care, which will improve efficient diagnosis, treatment, and delivery of successful outcomes. In addition, these services provide inclusive family-building resources for the LGBTQ community. Working together, we are confident that we can expedite the time to pregnancy,” Pure continued.

One in eight couples have trouble conceiving, and nearly 40-50% of all infertility cases are due to “male factor” infertility. Additionally, about 2% of all men will show suboptimal sperm parameters.

Experts believe that including male partners in fertility testing and consultation from the beginning of the process can help couples get pregnant more efficiently.

RMA of New York is currently widely acknowledged as a national and international leader in state-of-the-art reproductive medicine. The institute is the first to enroll in this telehealth program dedicated to diagnosing and treating male fertility issues.

Overall, Project AIM’s benefits include supporting couples through their journey to parenthood by evaluating both parties, exploring the root cause of male infertility and underlying men’s health conditions, and embracing the LGBTQ community with inclusive family building services.

Natan Bar-Chama, MD, director of the Center of Male Reproductive Health at RMA of New York, stated that the organization will collaborate with obstetricians and gynecologists to provide patients with options to conveniently obtain a semen analysis and engage with a telehealth platform that will provide them with male infertility expertise.
